So Barack is going to lower the taxes for the bottom 95% of the tax payers, of which over ½ do not even pay taxes (yes, the bottom 40% of all tax payers actually get tax refunds and have a negative tax payment) on the backs of the top 5% of tax payers who, according to the IRS pay 61% of all taxes.  The middle class, after the 40% who get paid to be American, pay merely 2.99% of all taxes paid.  McCain is offering a doubling of the dependent deduction which will result in a tax cut for 100% of Americans and a tax credit of  $1,500 to $2,500 for most families of 5.  Barack says that we need to be proactive and not reactive, like the Republicans have been.  so taking out Saddam Hussein and preventing his manufacture of WMDs and his support of terrorists, which threatened to upset the stability of the Middle East, is not proactive.  President Bush issued 487 oil leases to ensure a domestic supply, but yet the environmentalists have filed suit and prevented any one of these leases from being explored.  For years, President Bush ahs attempted to secure drilling in ANWAR and the Gulf of Mexico in addition to exploration of our vast shale fields which have more oil than all of the Middle East combined.  A pretty proactive position, yet he has been stymied and stiff –armed at every turn, only to hear, well, if you drill, it will take ten years to get the first drop of oil.  And yet, as soon as President Bush announces the lifting of the off-shore oil drilling ban, prices drop $50.00 per barrel- I would ay  this is proactive.  Through NAFTA and several other Free Trade Agreement, exports are at record highs, despite efforts from the democrats and the Unions to kill these agreements, President Bush and the Republicans pushed forward.  Proactive I would say. Since taking office, President Bush as more than double the amount of free medical clinics and the budget for medical care.  Under SCIFA, families earning up to $42,000 per year have been provided free or greatly reduced medical care.  The Democrats wanted to increase the income limits to $82,000 per year, a $65 billion program.  President Bush refused citing that this would only create government competition with the  private insurers for those who where more than qualified to pay for insurance themselves. Barack states that large corporations have access to numerous loopholes, but he cannot name one loophole.  Barack says that he will extend the American dream to those making less than $250,000, so apparently he believes that the American dream ends at $250,000.  Barack believes that the associations with Ayers and the racist Wright have no bearing, but he keeps citing McCain’s association with Bush- what gives?
